July :)

Well July has been so much fun already! The weekend of the 10th we took a little vaca to Orem. We ate lunch in Draper with my cute friend Katie & and her little girl Kacee. Kacee LOVES Hagen! At one point she was chasing him around the table and tackled him to the ground so she could get a hug. I should have taken a video but I didn't think about it. I did get this cute shot of Katie holding the kids while Kacee was trying to give Hagen a hug. I wish I got to see the two of them more often! After we got done with lunch we went to Cowabunga Bay but I didn't take pics. It was much warmer this year and Hagen had so much fun going on the slides with Dad and playing on the splash pad. That night our fam, Monica's fam, and Mark's fam went to dinner with our cousin Stacie & her daughter Becca. It has been so long since I saw Stacie. Probably like 10 years. We definately need to get together more often.

Ellie was lovin' Chase this trip. She gave him lots of big smiles and would try to talk to him. She would get so upset when he would walk away from her. I can't believe how much she has grown since I saw her last. She looks like a baby instead of a newborn. I just love her to peices!

Sunday was Ellie's blessing and it turned out BEAUTIFUL! Ellie's Grandma Proctor (Sue) made the blessing dress and it was so so cute! Sue is definately one talented woman! She crocheted me a super cute flower headband. Chase had a stiff neck when he woke up that morning and he started having muscle spasms during church. I am sure everyone in Mark & Rosie's ward thought he was mentally challenged. LOL Hagen was so good during church and sat mostly still through the whole thing. Thanks to Sue for letting us borrow her Dr. Suess books.

Last week we went for a walk with my friend Kisha, her kids, and her sister Kandice. Here is a pic of the kids eating ice cream at the drive in on our walk. Hagen and her little boy Ryker are only like 6 weeks apart and they LOVE playing together.

I decided I was going to paint my laundry room. I have to say it was a bigger project than I thought it was. I didn't really think about how tall the ceilings are in that room until I had to paint it. I have it all painted now...just need to paint the trim. We are going to lay new flooring that matches the kitchen, but it probably won't get done until August so I will post a pic of the completed room after we do that. I have to say just the paint made a HUGE improvement though. Our house is about 65 years old so every little bit helps. Hagen was such a big helper with the laundry room. He loved climbing on the ladder and painting like Mom. :)

Shout out to Dad

Last week I decided to purchase a swing set for Hagen and after I got it home Chase never had time to put it together. He works swing shift or night shift (whatever you want to call it) so it is hard for him to do things other than on the weekend. Since July weekends are pretty much packed for us I figured it would be awhile before it got put up. My sweet Dad wanted something to do so he came over and with the help of Will and Hagen they got it all set up. I just wanted to take a minute to tell my Dad thank you for all you do. You are such a great example to all of us and I can't tell you enough how much I love and appreciate you!

4th of July Weekend

Chase had to work July 2nd so Hagen and I spent the evening in Aurora with Grandma Janet and Shayde (Chase's neice).

Hagen couldn't get enough of the inflatable slides. The first time I had to help him climb to the top and after that he was good to go. It was a fight to get him away from them.

Hagen even wanted to be a cowboy and ride the mechanical bull. I took video, but when I upload it on here, it doesn't play anything. :(

Kira and Kayla joined us at the park for the fireworks and it was so fun to get to see how much Kayla had grown. She is such a cutie! Hagen liked tickeling her. :)

On the 3rd Chase, Hagen, and I headed over to the Aurora park again. We ate lunch, played the boothes, played on the slides again, and let Chase ride the mechanical bull. Just wanted to let you know....Hagen stayed on way longer. ;) Chase pulled his thumb out of socket on the dang thing and it is still swollen. Poor guy! We went to the parade later in the day and took my dad to the rodeo that night. Sorry I didn't take any pics on the 4th. What was I thinking?!

Sunday we invited Mom, Dad, Monica, and the kids over to let off fireworks at our house and have root beer floats. Brandy and the kids stopped by on their way home from Salt Lake and watched the fireworks too. It was so much fun!

Hope everyone had a Happy 4th weekend!! :)
